The seventh grade has been studying the history and culture of the Middle Ages through a variety of interdisciplinary activities. Under the coordinated efforts of social studies teachers Mr. Richard Forliano and Mr. Joseph Cirasella, English teacher Mrs. Jan Nowak, and mathematics teacher, Ms. Beverly Whyte, students have learned how this period lead to the subsequent Renaissance and Age of Discovery.

The mythology of the Middle Ages includes fearless knights doing battle with terrifying winged, fire breathing creatures of varied descriptions.

In art, therefore, Mrs. Dorothy Johnson had the students create sculptures of dragons, as they imagined them to be.
